This is a beautiful Chess Set featuring a battle between the Irish Leprechauns and their cousins the Scottish Brownies. 

Made here in Ireland from crushed local limestone which is mixed with a bonding agent and then moulded. The Chessboard is also made from the same material and measures 15ins x 15ins (38cm x 38cm). The pieces measure from 1 1/2 ins to 3 ins (4cm to 8cm) high. 

The colours of the pieces are Ivory and Green. Every piece is individually moulded and is hand made - there can be slight differences in colour and texture. This makes it more faithful to the original and is in the spirit of all hand crafted goods.

This version is made by the O'Gowna Studios in Co Dublin who have perfected the art of creating beautiful pieces of Irish handcraft..
