The symbol originates here in Galway and is called after the famous fishing village of Claddagh.

It is made up of a Heart (representing Love), Hands (Friendship) and Crown (Loyalty)

Connemara Marble is quarried near Clifden here in Galway and has been given as a token of Friendship and Good Luck for centuries. The Green shades mirror the Irisah Landscape and it is often referred to as Ireland's Gemstone.
